“A terrific evening of love and laughter” (British Theatre Guide”)
Following the success of last season’s ‘Theft’, the SDC are delighted to produce another hilarious comedy from the writer of TV’s ‘Rising Damp’ and ‘Duty Free’. Comedian and national treasure Dave Thursby has died, and it’s the day of his funeral. Friends and colleagues, including his widow, his agent and his gag writer, gather to pay their last respects. What could go wrong – with a horse-drawn hearse, an attendant dog, and an unfamiliar mourner bearing revelations?? By the end of an eventful wake, all the guests are left asking themselves if they ever knew the “real” Dave.
